These soft air guns are classed as Realistic Imitation Firearms (RIFs) and are great collectors’ items that include some of the finest  functional gun replicas available. Airsoft weapons fire lightweight 6mm spherical plastic pellets which make these guns suitable for airsoft skirmishing, close range IPSC Action Air competition shooting , and indoor target practice at home. On a still day, airsoft pellets can be just as accurate as BBs for ranged target shooting outdoors, and although they are less destructive than steel or lead, they will still shred pop cans when used for back garden plinking. Some airsoft guns feature true blowback operation, which  provides recoil driven slide action re-cocking and a satisfying recoil kick.
